Questions & answers

Everything that defines your rental

What documents do I need to rent?
A valid ID (national ID or passport) and a valid driving licence. For foreign drivers, an international driving permit is recommended. Exact requirements per vehicle category are confirmed at booking.
Is there a security deposit? How much?
Yes, there is a deposit per vehicle category, returned at the end of the rental if the vehicle is undamaged. The exact amount is confirmed in writing at booking, before any payment.
How does damage cover work?
Straight answer: the Angolan insurance market offers limited cover and slow claims, so we won't pretend insurance solves everything. You choose between two options when you book. First: take Costa Phoebe's damage cover, at a fixed amount agreed upfront with a liability cap set out in writing. Second: decline that cover and accept responsibility for damage caused to the vehicle during the rental. Either way, the vehicle is inspected and photographed with you at handover and on return, so there is no argument about what was already there.
Is there a mileage limit?
It depends on the contract type: urban daily rental, cross-province itinerary or long-term hire. The mileage terms are defined and recorded in your quote.
What is the fuel policy?
On driven services (transfers, layover, itineraries) fuel is included in the price. On self-drive rental the policy is tank-to-tank: the vehicle is delivered and returned at the same level.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes. Cancellations and changes are handled via WhatsApp with as much flexibility as possible. Applicable conditions and deadlines are stated in your booking confirmation.
Do you deliver outside Luanda?
We deliver and collect in other provinces on a quoted basis, depending on the route. Mention the destination in your request.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment in USD and in kwanzas. Available methods (cash, transfer and others) are confirmed at booking.

Every commercial condition is confirmed in writing at booking, before any payment. No small print afterwards.
